Ever since Ben Affleck was chosen as the next Batman, there have been even more rumors swirling with some of them exciting and some of them confusing. The Inquisitr reports on Aug. 25, 2013, that Bryan Cranston, of "Breaking Bad," has gone ahead and accepted the role of the villainous Lex Luthor. Another rumor, which is out of nowhere, has Matt Damon taking a future role as Aquaman.
Neither Warner Bros. or Cranston's people have confirmed any involvement with the "Man of Steel" sequel. Some outlets even report that word won't come until "Breaking Bad" ends and that is near the end of September.
Making rumors even more intriguing is that some say Cranston could end up playing the role of Lex Luthor in six films. Some "sources" even believe his deal could be for up to 10 movies.
Cranston's multiple-film deal could put him in small roles across the DC Universe. That is much like Samuel L. Jackson's role as Nick Fury in the Marvel movies universe.
Another rumor that is making the rounds is that Affleck signing on as Batman could end up helping the ever-delayed "Justice League" movie to go forward. CosmicBookNews states that with the big announcement from Warner Bros. regarding Affleck; his close friend Matt Damon could end up a superhero too.
The word is that Damon could end up in the role of Aquaman and eventually team up with Batman and Superman.
Again, these are all rumors and nothing is confirmed at all. The only thing truly known about the "Man of Steel" sequel at this time is that Henry Cavill will play Superman and Affleck will play Batman.
