After the last award was handed out, the stars headed to a slew of Golden Globes after parties. The cast of “Breaking Bad” spoke to E! at the InStyle party. During the enlightening interview, Bryan Cranston praised Vince Gilligan and said on air during the E! TV special:

We had a great six years. It was a phenomenal experience. It was led by the best writer in television, Vince Gilligan. At the moment we received his pivotal script, we knew we were in for a ride. We didn’t know how bumpy the ride was going to be or where the road was going to take us, but it was a phenomenal trip.

On Jan. 12, “Parade” said that the cast of “Breaking Bad” didn’t expect a win at the Golden Globes. In fact, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association ignored the series up until recently. Finally, “Breaking Bad” received the recognition it so deserved at the Golden Globes.

Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, RJ Mitte, Betsy Brandt and Vince Gilligan from “Breaking Bad” all joined in the post Golden Globes celebration. Aaron Paul was also nominated for a Globe, but lost out to Jon Voight for “Ray Donovan.” Anna Gunn wasn’t even nominated, even though she won the Emmy this year for her brilliant portrayal of Skylar White. Not only did Bryan Cranston win Best Actor – TV Drama, but “Breaking Bad” won Best TV Series – Drama, beating out “Downton Abbey,” “The Good Wife,” “House of Cards,” and “Masters of Sex.”

The entire cast of “Breaking Bad” was ecstatic about their big wins, however they were also sad about the end of the series. Betsy Brandt, who played Marie (Hank Schrader’s wife), looked at Vince Gilligan and stated emotionally late Sunday night:

I’m so sad it’s over, but I’m so glad you did it exactly the way you did it. It was really good. We could have kept going, but you were like ‘no.’

A grinning and happy Gilligan simply replied, “You want people to miss you.”

Breaking Bad” received widespread critical acclaim throughout all five seasons. Overall, the series has won 37 industry awards and 120 nominations. It ended in the fall with an explosive finale, but all seasons are available on Netflix, Blu-Ray and DVD.
