According to ComicBook.com on Sept. 1, "Breaking Bad's" Bryan Cranston came to the realization of the rumors being spread about in regards to being the next Lex Luthor in future "Superman" films. One of the rumors suggested he has partaken in signing on to a six movie deal with Warner Brothers to do so.
Cranston then denied the rumors and had been familiar with said rumor mill. He just thought that was probably due in part by being so well known for his head shaven role as Walter White. The rumors have been running rampant lately and it had gotten to the point where fan made trailers including Cranston, Ben Affleck, and Henry Cavill were in the spoofs.
“I've heard that too. Six? This is all news to me. I think that maybe my name is bandied about because I’m known to be bald. ‘What bald guy can we get?’ The reality is they can take any actor and shave his head or put a bald cap on him".
There is also the line of thought that by both actors and Warner Brothers not commenting on the rumors is an inaction that could raise the idea that they could also be true even if nothing was acknowledged.
Cranston did leave a string untied when it came to the future of projects on the horizon.
“I think I’ll relax the rest of the year. There’s some irons in the fire, things that people are talking about, but nothing is set".
