Bryan Adams has become a second time dad at age fifty-three.
Posting yesterday to his official Twitter account, the veteran Canadian rocker/photographer and his partner, Alicia Grimaldi, became parents to their second daughter Lula RosyLea in London earlier this week.
In his tweet, the “Summer of 69” hitmaker explains the origins of the infant’s name, writing, "Lula RosyLea decided to arrive at tea time. RosyLea is cockney rhyming slang in London for ‘cup of tea’ and the name Lula comes from Gene Vincent‘s song ‘Be-Bop-A-Lula.'"
Lula becomes sister to their first daughter, 22-month-old Mirabella Bunny.
Both mom and infant are reportedly doing well.
The mother, Grimaldi, is a long-time employee and co-founder of Adam’s charity foundation.
The Grammy Award winner is gearing up for an upcoming 2013 Bare Bones acoustic European tour leg, scheduled to kick off on March 4 in Oslo, Norway.
Adams has no Canadian dates scheduled so far this year, having performed a highly successful coast-to-coast trek last year with his “Notorious Tour.”
His first book of photography entitled “Exposed” was released in November.
Did you know? Bryan Adams was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in March 2011.
