'Brutal Legend' rocks onto the PC with a new trailer announcement

Double Fine Production's heavy-metal inspired action-adventure hit Brutal Legend has been announced today to be making its debut on the PC -- three years after its original release on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

The announcement is better late than never as this sleeper hit, with voice acting by Tenacious D front man Jack Black and an appearance by the legendary Ozzy Osbourne, was skipped over by many because of its limited controls on the console.

The game is for sale on Steam now at a special pre-order price of $14.99 and offers a few bonuses for those who buy early, such as access to the multiplayer beta and two exclusive Team Fortress 2 items that are detailed on the Steam page.

  • The Brütal Bouffant - This brutally heavy all-class sideburns and mullet combo was hand-sheared from the manes of Icelandic headbangers, woven with sigil-encrusted knitting needles of occult significance, and air-mailed straight out of hell.
  • The Shred Alert (taunt) - Harness the unholy power of the Dark One (Yngwie Malmsteen) and crush your opponents with blistering riffs, lava-hot licks and emotion-packed power ballads!

Those who want to rock out even harder can pre-purchase the full game with the award-winning soundtrack for a few bucks more.

Without an official release date in the announcement, it could only be speculated when it'll officially drop, but in the meantime, feel free to grow out that mullet in preparation for its arrival.
