On Sept. 8 the NFL announced in a video that singer-songwriter Bruno Mars will be the halftime act for the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show. The video released begins with a young Bruno Mars performing as Elvis before going into live concert footage of the singer. The 2014 Super Bowl football game will take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Bruno Mars only has two full length studio albums under his belt with his most recent being "Unorthodox Jukebox". That album was released on Dec. 10, 2012 via Atlantic Records and it reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. His debut studio album, "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" was released in 2010.
Some of Mars' hit singles includes "Locked Out of Heaven," "When I Was Your Man," "Treasure," and "Grenade". His current single is the song "Gorilla". It has not been announced if Mars will be performing at the 2014 Super Bowl solo, or if the singer will have special guests.
