Bruno Mars not only has musical talent, he also has amazing dance moves. His style is eclectic, but his sound is reminiscent of great ballads of old mixed with a little funk and a lot of soul. If you like pop and a little reggae, that is what you can expect to hear as Bruno Mars takes his Moonshine Jungle Tour worldwide.

Prior to heading to Orlando, Florida for an August 27th show, Bruno Mars stopped in Charlotte to give his "Hooligans" what they've undoubtedly been anticipating. The crowd at Time Warner Cable Arena on Wednesday night was a mixture of people seen at concerts ranging from The Rolling Stones to Justin Bieber. Mars had something for everyone with a taste for meaningful lyrics and instrumental savvy.

Mars's fans were eager for his performance, but also enjoyed the opening act, Fitz and The Tantrums whose delivery was fiery replete with indie soul and rock inspired attire. The feisty ensemble had the crowd on their feet and clapping their hands to several funky numbers that peppered the crowed with energy to open the show.

One thing was certain, Mars's fans knew him well and were all in for his show. They belted out lyrics to several songs, including "Locked Out of Heaven," with heartfelt passion and relentless enthusiasm. "When I Was Your Man," performed by Mars alone on stage, was met with a strong reaction from the crowd. This song gives the "what ifs" and "shoulda, woulda, couldas" of relationships that were unappreciated until they were over.

Mars and his band mates made the show both engaging and comical with their R&B pick up lines. Each guy presented their best R&B smooth talk from their native regions of New York, Memphis and everywhere in between for a lucky lady in the audience.

Mars paid homage to his native Hawaii with effects that included birds of paradise. He also gave a shout out to the jungle with gorillas playing key rolls in the back drop. Mars and his "Hooligans" were in rare form for the show.

The amazing thing about Mars's performance is you could close your eyes at any given moment and feel as though you were at a different concert listening to completely different music. One moment you are lost in a reggae upbeat vibe, then you're you are swept away to a Prince-esque feel with electric guitars, keyboards and drums taking center stage.

For music fans not familiar with Mars, or only familiar with what they have seen of him commercially, seeing him live will be a pleasant surprise. Mars is a crowd pleasure and insanely talented. His drum solo after he had said his goodbyes to the Charlotte crowd, vaulted the concert to another level of pure unadulterated high energy fun. Orlando fans definitely have something to look forward to, as do "Hooligans" across the globe as the Moonshine Jungle Tour continues.
