The big show, which is set for Feb. 2, 2014, will take place in East Rutherford, not far from where where Bruce Springsteen hails.
So why didn't the Boss get picked instead of Bruno Mars?
This question goes unanswered but seems a bit troublesome to some pundits. After all, the halftime show will eventually play out in an open-air stadium that could be hard to take by a guy like Honolulu-raised Mars who can't be all that acclimated to such biting cold weather and possible nasty snowstorms.
That said, this case is not clear because Bruno Mars is only rumored to be the act who is privy to the illustrious Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show, following in Beyonce's footsteps from last year.
That's right. Bruce Springsteen may still have a chance. Maybe, but probably not if all the reports spilling forth are actually true. Stay tuned.
