Bruno Mars co-directs vintage 'When I Was Your Man' video

Bruno Mars takes it back in the vintage video for “When I Was Your Man,” the second single off his sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox.

Rocking a perm, the underrated vocalist pours his heart out as he sits at the piano while taping a TV special in the throwback clip, which he co-directed. The love song is incredibly sentimental and filled with immense regret. It's the classic story of a man who realizes what he had once it's already gone.

While the video focuses on Bruno's performance on the piano, there are flashes of a woman watching him behind the curtain - perhaps it's the woman he lost. While Bruno's first single off his new album was uptempo and celebratory, this one is overwhelmingly sad but sweet.

Catch another performance from Bruno when he hits the stage with Rihanna and Sting at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.
