Bruce Willis returns to 'Sin City'

Thanks to MTV over the weekend we finally have confirmation on my most eagerly awaited casting news with regards to Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.”

He confirmed, via MTV, that Bruce Willis will indeed be reprising his role of Hartigan from the original film back in 2005.

His fate in that movie helps reaffirm that this movie does in fact take place before the original.

He also addressed the 3D for the new film, “We shot this in 3D. We didn’t shoot ‘Sin City’ in 3D. I wouldn’t want to convert that one probably. The difference in shooting it is just… you can’t even compare. Because this is a very two dimensional world it’s very stylized. To see that kind of stylization in 3D will blow people’s mind.”

It is good to know he has sense enough to leave things in the past as they should (unlike the “Star Wars” movies and “Jurassic Park” coming out).

Bruce Willis will be joining recently cast Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“Looper”), Ray Liotta (“Smokin’ Aces”), Juno Temple (“Killer Joe”), Jeremy Piven (“Smokin’ Aces”), and the rest of the ensemble cast when the film this theaters October 4th.
