Bruce and Harris Commit to Play Football in the SEC

South Doyle running back/athlete Jocquez Bruce wanted to get a offer from the University of Tennessee.

When it came from UT coach Butch Jones, it didn't take Bruce long to act.

On Tuesday, Bruce took to Twitter and announced his commitment to the Volunteers.

"I am officially committed to play at the University of Tennessee," Bruce said via Twitter.

Bruce (5-10, 185) chose the local team over offers from Memphis and MTSU among others.

He becomes the 13th commitment for the Vols in the Class of 2015 and he is the sixth in state commitment joining Jauan Jennings (Blackman ATH), Jack Jones (Oakland OL), Dylan Jackson (Maryville DE), Zach Stewart (Coalfield OL) and Jaylond Woods (Clinton WR).
