Brownie cake recipe

There are so many ways to eat brownies. You can have them plain and chewy or cake like. You can have them brown or blonde with no cocoa. You can even have them gooey enough to eat with as spoon or as a brownie pie!

Here is another idea for you: make your brownies as a cake and fill and top it with icing!

Brownie Cake

  • 1 package or box of brownie mix (or your favorite brownie recipe)
  • Vanilla Frosting or 1 tub of vanilla frosting
  • Fruit or chocolate shavings if desired

Preheat oven to 350*.

Prepare brownies as per the package directions.

Spray an 9 inch round cake pan with cooking spray.

Pour batter into pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.

Cool.

Prepare frosting (if making your own).

Slice cake in half, horizontally.

Spread half of your frosting on bottom half of cake.

Place other cake half on top of frosting.

Spread remaining frosting over the top of the cake.

Top with sliced fruit or chocolate shavings if desired.
