Brown to host virtual town hall meeting tonight; television commercial to debut

Dorothy A. Brown

Democratic Cook County Board Presidential Candidate Dorothy A. Brown will make an unusual appearance tonight (Jan. 21) on the Internet.

Dorothy Brown's “Virtual ‘On-Line’ Townhall Meeting for Cook County Board President” will allow voters to ask Brown about her candidacy and her plans, should she win election as president of the Cook County Board. The virtual town hall meeting, she says, reflects her vision for bringing innovation and new ideas to Cook County.

More than 30,000 voters have already been invited to take part via their personal computers and cell phones, but registration for the web town hall meeting, and participation, is open to the public.

Dorothy Brown has served as Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County for nine years. She is a certified public accountant and holds a law degree. She is up against three other candidates in the Feb. 2 Democratic primary election.
