Update in foster care

UPDATED JUNE 10 5:20 p.m. Brown Suga is safe and has left the shelter. A rescue from out of state has saved her and a foster has picked her up. Since she's heartworm positive, I'll be doing an article as soon as a donation link is made available.

According to Facebook: Greenville County Pet Rescue, this beauty will soon run out of time at the high-kill upstate shelter, meaning the shelter may kill at any time. More information can be found on this Facebook thread.

This is the dog who was seized from foster care by Greenville City Animal Control. Three of the five dogs were killed. Bella made it out alive. Brown Suga may not. She is fully sponsored and transportation will be arranged.

Brown Suga has rescues who want to save her, and people who want to adopt her. Greenville County Animal Care Services says she's "awaiting rescue."

She's at the high-kill shelter in Greenville, South Carolina..

Please share her story with any and all rescues and ask them to call the shelter at 864-467-3984 or 864-467-3983. Also share her story will any and all pit bull animal welfare groups.

Email petrescue@greenvillecounty.org
