UPDATED JUNE 5 This dog is our #1 priority. People tried to get her rescued and adopted and for some reason it's not happening. She may already be dead. Brown Suga is one of the dogs seized in this Examiner article. Three were killed. Bella was released with a cigarette-type burn to the top of her head. It's being told a SC based rescue CANNOT speak for her. Please share with out of state rescues and email the shelter or call no later than 8am TODAY. 864-467-3984 or 864-467-3983

According to Facebook: Greenville County Pet Rescue, this beauty is ready to leave foster care and find a loving, forever home. Since Brown Suga is heartworm negative, she's also eligible for adoption.

Foster parents are the backbone of the shelter. They work under the rescues, or the shelter, to care for a dog or cat until a rescue has room to take the animal in and match that dog or cat with the perfect home.

Unfortunately, the system can bottleneck, leaving fosters unable to help save more lives because they have as many animals in their care as can be handled comfortably. This is why it's important for fostered animals to be adopted.
