Megan Pettine, the daughter of the new Cleveland Brown’s coach, Mike Pettine, has become a social media celebrity overnight. While her father was interviewing for the job as the head coach, she tweeted to a friend about how the interview process was going for her dad, that little tweet went viral.
According to The Inquisitr on Jan. 25, Megan Pettine tweeted:
“The interview went well and he’s going back for a second! It’s the browns.. but hey still pretty cool.”
Well Coach Pettine got the job and while announcing his hiring during the official press conference the question came up about his daughter’s tweet.
"I’ve been waiting for this question. We had a very long father-daughter chat after that one. She learned a very valuable lesson in the power of social media. She was mortified. [She] called me hysterically crying one day after it happened.”
He went on to say how his daughter grew up being a Baltimore Ravens fan while Pettine coached the Ravens, so there’s still a bit of that left in his daughter. He also said she wasn’t particular keen on the Browns’ choice of color scheme.
Fans of the Cleveland Browns came to Megan’s rescue with one tweeting:
“Megan Pettine obviously knows what it is like to be a Browns fan. I absolutely love it.”
That person said that she loved the tweet. Another Browns fans tweeted:
Why be upset with Megan Pettine? Apparently multiple NFL coaches said worse about #Browns coaching job.
There were many more Browns fans who took her tweet as nothing more than good old-fashion Browns' humor. Does this mean Megan will now be watched by the NFL fans waiting for her to say something else about the team? Is another Twitter star born, or is this the end of her 15 minutes of fame?
