"Brown"nosers Play In a Roundabout Way at Bluebird Tonight

A lineup of stellar singer/songwriters circle the stage (well, the round) tonight at Nashville's legendary Bluebird Cafe. The round includes the multi-talented Jim "Moose" Brown, and the artistic animal has made tracks with artists like farm rocker Trent Summar, James Otto, Darryl Worley, Josh Turner, Jamey Johnson (co-writing the lamentful-but-witty crowd favorite "Women," found on 2008's That Lonesome Song) and more. He's not only a Grammy winning songwriter but also a Grammy Nominated musician and producer who's twice been nominated for an ACM for "Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year." He also co-wrote the major Alan Jackson & Jimmy Buffet ship hit, "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere."

Non-nancy boys Wil Nance, Steve Dean, and Wynn Varble (who recently played on the Opry stage!) join in on the evening's festivities - bringing between them to the table cuts by George Strait (like "Where Have I Been All My Life," which Dean co-wrote with magnificent writer/artist Sherrie Austin and "Round About Way" which Nance and Dean wrote together), Darryl Worley (including the poignant "Have You Forgotten" among them), Brad Paisley ("She's Everything" written by Nance and Paisley and "Waitin' on a Woman by Varble and Don Sampson), the clever Kevin Denney cut "Cadillac Tears" (written by Varble and Leslie Satcher), Gary Allan (the should've been a single apologetic but-not-really tongue-in-cheek "Sorry", co-written by Varble with Brice Long and Shawn Camp), and much, much more.

Though it's 5 o'clock somewhere, the show starts at 9 pm. It'll be a Wynn-Wynn! At press time there were still over 40 seats available. Cover is $8, and the Bluebird requires a $7 food/drink minimum per person for bar and table seating.
