Broward County seeking volunteers to help count the homeless

Broward County is looking for volunteers to help count the homeless. The survey will be conducted on Thursday, January 24 and Friday, January 25. Every homeless person in the County will be asked to complete a survey which will help Broward County get state and federal grants to aid them, according to Broward County Commissioner Stacy Ritter

There are no specific requirements to volunteer except for concern and compassion for persons experiencing homelessness. If you don’t think you would be comfortable walking and interacting with persons living on the street, there are other areas where you can help. You can find information call Kathy Wint at 954-233-1300, according to Ritter.
