Former Bishop Ford and St. Francis College star John Halama was released last week by the Milwaukee Brewers. The left-handed Halama was signed in the off-season to a minor league contract by the Brewers after an impressive performance in the Domincan Winter League. He posted an ERA of 6.00 in six innings this spring, giving up 10 hits while converting his only save opportunity.

We had the opportunity to interview Halama in December, calling baseball his, "drive, heart, and soul," when he appeared at the GNYSAA Lou DeMartino Baseball Clinic. Hopefully Halama will be able to latch on to another organization looking for a veteran left-handed pitcher.
