Two men, Daquan Breland, 23, and Daquan Wright, 19, were arrested in connection with the shooting death of one year old Antiq Hennis on September 1st.
After a six day manhunt, Breland and Wright were apprehended in a Pennsylvania apartment on Friday. Late Saturday the two suspects were arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
The two suspects are being held on $500,000 bail.
According to eyewitnesses Wright handed the gun to Breland who shot several times. Breland gave the gun back to Wright and the two men ran off. There have been reports that the men bragged about the shooting over the next few days.
The police have alleged that the shooting was gang related and that the boy’s father Anthony Hennis was the intended victim.
Hennis, who has been associated with The Crips, has refused to cooperate with the police. But he did defend himself at his son’s funeral stating that he was a good father to his son.
