Little Elm, an eight-seat "chef's counter"-style concept, has opened within The Elm, Chef Paul Liebrandt's superstar restaurant in the King & Grove hotel in Williamsburg. While Liebrandt's original establishment earned itself rave reviews last year and is known for its stunning space and elegant, modern French fare, its newest addition is sure to meet equal praise.
The Brooklyn hotspot's newly opened little sister features an eight-course tasting menu designed by The Elm's executive chef Mazen Mustafa (trained by both Bouley and Boulud before working under Liebrandt at the renowned Corton).
The seasonally-driven plates at Little Elm will reflect the elegance and careful construction diners and critics have come to expect from the duo's dishes, offering mouthwatering bites like Big Eye tuna with eggplant opera and lobster with brown butter.
While reservations will certainly take some foresight (there are only four seatings at 6pm, 6:30pm, 9pm and 9:30pm available each Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening), spots at the counter can be booked up to one month in advanced by calling 718-218-1088 or dropping a line via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
