Brooklyn Decker is Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Girl 2010 - photos and video

Brooklyn Decker, an American fashion model who has been modeling for Sports Illustrated magazine for five years, has been chosen as the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Girl; Sports Illustrated magazine is famous for its cover girls which, in the past, have included models such as Elle Macpherson, Heidi Klum, Marisa Miller, Tyra Banks and Christine Brinkley. Brooklyn Decker is 22 years old and married to tennis star Andy Roddick.

Brooklyn Decker previous modeling assignments include Victoria's Secret, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Intimissimi (Italian lingerie now sold through Victoria's Secret); she auditioned for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in 2005 and first appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in 2006. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is issued in February each year and making the cover of the magazine is the dream of many super models.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Girl Secrets

Super models, although naturally beautiful, often have to maintain a healthy regime of diet and fitness to maintain their figures; however, Brooklyn Decker is reported as saying she has no “diet or exercise secrets”, except to “eat sensibly” and “be active”. Brooklyn Decker is a big sports fan and her previous accomplishments include cheer leading, soccer and competing in the track team as a teenager.

Although there is apparently no 'secret formula' to becoming the next Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl, Brooklyn Decker advises that the magazine “encourages a natural look...less make-up, toned muscles and a curvy shape.”

As is the tradition with the naming of the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl, Brooklyn Decker found out she was the 2010 cover girl only 24 hours before the announcement was made public.
