Brookfield Residential of Englewood, Colo., has implemented a plan in which "hometown heroes" such as military personnel can receive a $3,000 allowance toward improvements, options or upgrades in their new Brighton Crossing homes.
Brookfield Residential typically extends an allowance of $8,500 to customers for items such as bathroom and kitchen fixtures, lighting, landscaping and interior finishes. But in a salute to people in occupations with organizations such as fire-fighters, police, Denver International Airport, and emergency medical technicians, Brookfield has raised that allowance to $11,500.
The home-building company has made the allowance available just in time for Memorial Day, and Brookfield will honor the offer indefinitely, but at least through the end of July.
"Brookfield Residential is a community-minded organization, and we are constantly on the look-out for opportunities to give back," said Perry Cadman, VP-Housing for Brookfield.
The Hometown Heroes Reward also coincides with Brookfield's plans for a grand opening of their first Brighton Crossing models at 75 S. 45th Ave. in Brighton on June 7, 2014.
Brookfield has already had one family take advantage of the Hometown Heroes Reward.
Brookfield also builds and sells homes in the Midtown at Clear Creek development near 68th Avenue and Pecos Street in Denver; and Brookfield recently began taking orders on new homes in the Solterra community of Lakewood, Colo.
