We fell in love with her jeans and (and the underage sex appeal that oozed from her) back in 1981 when she asked us 'You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing'. (watch the commercial here)That's pretty much the moment when everyone in the '80s stood up and took notice of a then 15 year old Brooke Shields. It wasn't her first time in front of the screen advertising something. Her first appearance was at the young age of 11 months when she appeared in an Ivory Snow advertisement. Now Brooke Shields is getting ready to advertise something with her name on it and not someone else's. Well, technically.

This coming October, Shields, alongside MAC Cosmetics will be launching her own collection as part of their Icon Collection series. The Icon Collection is a series of collaborations with iconic women that have included in the past Diana Ross and Raquel Welch. This will be the largest collection so far with 15 pieces that will range in price from $17 to $85 and center around the biggest eye palette yet to be released by MAC of 16 shades.

Using the makeup that she already owned as way to find the things that she truly loved about her makeup Shields says;

'I went through all of my makeup, opened it all up, looked at it all and started to decide what of each product I loved — whether it was from MAC or some obscure brand I got on a shoot in Japan. I’ve always paid close attention on shoots — I love learning new techniques, and there’s always some trick you learn. I’m so used to having my makeup done by someone else — this was really my first time to delve in personally, rather than it being a mask that’s put on for a certain photo shoot. And so many times you get asked to ‘create’ something, but it ends up being ‘put your face on this.’ I got to run with this, and I loved every detail of it. I loved being a part of the process and having my taste incorporated into it. It’s not a frivolous process. There is real attention paid to quality and I’ve been spoiled by the people I got to work with and the freedom I was able to have. That invests you [in the project.]' (Source: WWD)

With all the inspiration that she drew, Shields decided to create two concepts, one set that was fresh faced for day and a super vampy evening set. Aside from the huge eye shadow palette, guess what else will be featured? Eyebrow products! Arguably one of her best features, there's no way there could be a Brooke Shields collection without some sort of eyebrow product. In fact there will be two to choose from, the Veluxe Brow Liner and a brow set with clear gel. The rest of the Icon collection will feature two Veluxe Pearl Fusion Shadows, a Cremeblend Blush Duo, two shades of lipstick, a bronzer, two Lipglasses, two shades of nail lacquer, and Optimum Black Opulash mascara. To make the collection even more unique MAC has opted to not go with their signature black but instead gray with orange accents inspired by a recent remodeling done in Shields home.

The line will be available in the US on October 2 and will be available internationally later that month. For now there are no previews of the collection but as October closes in, photos may be released. Or even leaked. Until then, ladies will just have to wait and see!
