Brooke Shields, Amanda Hearst and Jay McInerney gathered at the Plaza Hotel to honor Anne Hearst McInerney and Elisa Port, MD as Mothers of the Year for their philanthropic work with the American Cancer Society. Following a special tribute to the late Cynthia Lufkin, Master of Ceremonies Paula Zahn introduced the honorees’ family members to present the awards to Anne and Elisa – two women who are an inspiration to not only their families, but also the communities they serve.
The 18th annual awards luncheon brought together New York City's high-profile, social and corporate women in October, a month dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness nationwide. Proceeds will directly benefit the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving and life-enhancing programs in cancer research, patient services, advocacy, and educational campaigns.
