Brooke Mueller awarded full custody of her twin boys with Charlie Sheen

A judge has awarded Brooke Mueller full custody of her twin boys, Bob and Max with troubled actor Charlie Sheen. Mueller famously lost custody of her son’s last year as she struggled with a crack addiction. In addition to gaining custody, even after 20 trips to rehab, Mueller will not be required to undergo further random drug testing.

A source close to the situation stated that, “Brooke was recently granted full custody of Bob and Max by a child dependency judge after it was deemed that she had complied with all of the terms set forth by the Los Angeles County Department of Children & Family Services.”

“Moving forward, Brooke won’t have to undergo random drug tests. DCFS will keep in contact with Brooke and check up on the boys, but there will be no unannounced visits. As far as Child Protective Services is concerned, Brooke has made a successful recovery, and is now ready to be the legal custodial parent for the boys.”

“Family reunification is always the goal in these types of cases. Splitting up a family, take children away from either the mother or father, only happens in extreme cases of neglect and abuse.”

After experiencing a drug overdose last year, Mueller was placed on a psychiatric hold prompting a judge to take custody of the twins from her. Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, Denise Richards was appointed the twin boys temporary guardian.

The source stated that Sheen is “thrilled with Brooke’s progress and has been very supportive of her sobriety and recovery in recent months. Despite their differences in the past, for right now, they are getting along.”
