In shocking news this morning several of the main media news sources have revealed that Brook Burke was fired from “Dancing With the Stars” According to Us Weekly Burke said that, "So much chatter about DWTS. I'm really cool, everyone. I did my 7 seasons, had a blast! I'm ready for change. I love your loyalty. Thank you!"

Burke later revealed in the interview that she was not the only cast member fired. "Here's the skinny -- the show found out Harold Wheeler, the band, Rob & me were putting together our own road show, so they fired us all!" (As previously reported, music director Wheeler and his 28-member live backing band were also fired earlier this month.) Burke did later say tweet she was just kidding about putting together her own show.

Burke first joined the cast in 2008 as a competitor and was quickly recruited to co-host the show with Tom Bergeron. She will certainly be missed after eight seasons on the show. Burke brought class and style to the long running TV show.
