Bronner Brothers, Inc. (also known as Bronner Brothers and/or Bronner Bros) is scheduled to conduct the first model call for its next fashion show. The international hair show is scheduled for August 2-5, 2014, at the Georgia World Congress Center, in Atlanta, Georgia. Bronner Brothers will offer over 300 exhibits, with vendors providing all things necessary for hair, makeup, fashion and entertainment.
Bronner Brothers will also offer multiple competitions: speed cutting, grab bag, fantasy, hair fitness, barbering, student mannequin, student rising star, and a new makeup challenge. Winners will receive a multitude of awards, including some cash prizes. Of course, probably the best unofficial award will be the bragging rights of some of the most elite stylists in the world.
Although the focus of the Bronner Brothers International Hair Show is hair, none of the activities would be possible (except for the Student Mannequin Competition) without models. Models are people (men, women and children) who are utilized for the purpose of display of themselves and/or a product or service.
Bronner Brothers, Inc. will be conducting a model casting call on June, 1, 2014, at 12:00 p.m., at its corporate offices – 2141 Powers Ferry Road, 3rd Floor, Marietta, Georgia 30067.
Various types of models are necessary to execute the display of the talents, services and products of the individuals involved in this multi-day event. These model types are known as genres, similar to different types of music. The genres of modeling found in a hair show event such as this, are as follows:
Promotional models for exhibitors. This model works with the exhibitor to provide product awareness, samples and/or assist with the purchasing of products.
Platform models for platform artists. This model allows hairstylists the opportunity to work on their hair to highlight skills, provide step-by-step training and showcase finished styling. This is typically a seated modeling opportunity. (Note: some models may be required to walk into the audience and allow attendees to touch, smell and photograph model’s hair.)
Live mannequin models for stage stylist. This model showcases finished hairstyles, usually created and or started behind-the scenes. The model may be seated for finishing of hair styling but may be required to stand in a posed position for an extended period of time. (Note: model may be required to provide own model garments or may be provided designer brand garments via garment pull provided by stage stylist.
Runway models for fashion and hair shows. This model walks the runway during fashion and hair shows. The model walk may be a straight/standard runway walk, without concept, but is more typically associated with an idea or storyline played out on the stage (i.e. hair battle, hair couture, animal, nature, etc.)
An additional item to note is that Bronner Brothers, Inc. has recently discontinued its open-to-the-public policy. In Bronner Brother’s attempts to maintain a professional show; therefore children 12 and under will not be admitted into the show. There will also be no strollers allowed on the show floor. Childcare will be provided at a rate of $20 per day/per child.
