At the least 3 people were stabbed during the Broncos game stabbings that occurred in the parking lot of Sports Authority Field at Mile High Thursday night. Police say the Broncos game stabbings reportedly stemmed from a dispute over a fender bender, ESPN reports.

Denver Police posted several updates following the Broncos game stabbings via Twitter and the victims in the stabbings were identified as being three males. Two of the victims are said to be in critical condition while the other victim's condition is being listed as critical.

Shortly before the Broncos game stabbings, witnesses said they saw several fights in the parking lot area of the Denver Broncos stadium.

"It was obviously a very chaotic scene and investigators have their work cut out for them," Denver Police spokesperson Steve Warneke said during a press conference. He continued,"there were witnesses and we've transported them to police facilities to be interviewed."

Warneke also confirmed that police have taken multiple suspects in custody in connection with the Broncos game stabbings.

Regarding the Broncos game stabbings incident, officials released the following statement:

"Stadium Management Company is aware of an incident that occurred in a parking lot adjacent to Sports Authority Field at Mile High. We are currently working with authorities to gather more information."

Police have also confirmed that the stabbings were not linked to the outcome of the game.

“It doesn’t appear that this was related to the outcome of the game. It doesn’t appear that this was Broncos vs. Chargers,” said a sergeant with the Denver Police. “It appears this stemmed from a traffic altercation in which the suspects were backing out of a traffic space and nearly struck the victim’s vehicle.”

The Broncos game stabbings comes after a previous incident that occurred outside Arrowhead Stadium during the Chiefs-Broncos game on Dec. 1.

In that case, police say a man was beaten to death after he was caught in another fan's vehicle. When police arrived at the scene, emergency crews were trying to revive a white male in his mid-20s. He was taken to the hospital but he was pronounced dead a short while later.

The Broncos game stabbings are currently being investigated so be sure to return to this column to receive updates on the incident.
