Lesnar, 36, hasn't fought since 2011, when he lost to Alistair Overeem.
Rumors of Lesnar coming back to the UFC fold seems to have sparked the interest of Shane Carwin, a fellow retired heavyweight.
"@danawhite got an extra ticket for tomorrow night? I'm hearing the b*tch that will solve my itch will be there," Carwin tweeted, apparently referring to Lesnar.
Lesnar is expected to have a major role in WWE's Wrestlemania XXX in April of next year.
After that, it's anyone's guess what his next move will be.
UFC President Dana White was asked about Lesnar's return to the UFC fold during the UFC 168 pre-fight press conference.
White wouldn't confirm or deny the rumors, but he had a grin on his face that suggested there was more to the story than what he was willing to reveal.
"Really?" White said when asked whether Lesnar (5-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) was attending Saturday's UFC 168 in Las Vegas. "I don't know. I honestly don't know."
White was also asked point blank if Lesnar was returning to the UFC.
"Honestly," White told MMAjunkie. "I don't know."
The UFC is expected to make a special announcement two hours prior to the UFC 168 main card. Rumor has it that the announcement will be about Lesnar, but no official word yet.
