Brock Lesnar makes rare post-UFC appearance

Former WWE champion and UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has been out of the spotlight since his last MMA fight on Friday December 30th. However, Lesnar made a rare appearance this past weekend as he showed up at the Big Ten wrestling meet between Minnesota and Nebraska to present a trophy to a freshman wrestler on Minnesota's team, according to a Monday February 6th report by MNDaily.com.

Lesnar spent the first half of the wrestling event on the bench with the Minnesota wrestling team. Lesnar was a former NCAA heavyweight champion for Minnesota in 2000. He compiled a career record of 106-5 while attending both Minnesota and Bismarck State College. At Sunday's wrestling event, Lesnar presented freshman Logan Storley with the 2011 Junior Hodge Trophy for the best high school wrestler in the nation. Storley attended the same high school as Lesnar, Webster High School in South Dakota.

Lesnar is the subject of several rumors about returning to the WWE. However, Lesnar is still under contract with the UFC despite announcing his retirement. Additionally, many people close to Lesnar believe he will take time off to be with his family before attempting any appearance with the WWE.
