Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho sign new deals with WWE

The WWE "Royal Rumble" finished up with huge results late into the night on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, and it brought about some shocking developments. As of the morning of Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, two more developments brought the wrestling world into a frenzy as both Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho came to new deals with WWE.

Lesnar has signed a new two-year contract extension that will keep him with the company through WWE "WrestleMania 31." His current deal was set to expire after "WrestleMania 29" which happens later this year.

It isn't confirmed as to whether or not this contract extension with WWE is the same as Lesnar's old one-year deal. The thought is that it will be similar and have him work a limited number of dates and appearances.

Chris Jericho returned to action on Sunday night as the number two entrant in the "Royal Rumble" and shocked everyone. He has signed a new short-term deal with WWE and is expected to work with the company through "WrestleMania 29."

Terms of the deal between Jericho and WWE were agreed upon a couple of weeks ago once they started talking about the 1,000th episode of "WWE Raw." Once terms were agreed upon, Jerichio's involvement in the "Royal Rumble" was kept a secret and he was even kept in a bus outside until it was time for him to wrestle, on the night of the event.
