Did you know that Sacramento has a new public art spectrum? Along Broadway near Land Park and the Old Tower Theater is a new section to stroll along with your smart phone.

Public art is not new but virtual reality is on its way. Eleven artists from across the country have come to Sacramento to create thier own world on the one of Sacramento's oldest neighborhoods.

Armed with a smart phone, not optional, just stroll along the route shown in the Sacramento Bee to see the difference $20, 000 dollars in grant money can make to the city.

All of the works of art are digital files visible to pedestrians only through thier apps on thier devices. These include murals, sculptures and other types of artistic creativity for viewers to enjoy without the other strollers knowing what is going on.

The Curators of the project "envision" strollers stopping to enjoy an expresso or a bite to eat along the old promenade of Sacramento as they view the art only they can see with thier "smart devices".

Enjoy the holidays viewing the newest project Sacramento as the state Capital is provided by benefactors towards the arts and humanities. This was done in Collboration with the Sacaramento Metropolitan Arts Commision.
