Opening at the Municipal Auditorium, Billy Elliot will be played by Ben Cook who felt inspired by ‘A Chorus Line’ and ‘Rent’, driving him to become a performer. With music by Elton John, Billy Elliot is based on the 2000 film of the same name.
The Kansas City Broadway Series has an entire season of musicals and stage shows coming this year; Billy Elliot is just the start. The rest of the year includes hits such as Mary Poppins, Wicked, and Beauty and the Beast.
