This weekend will be an exciting one for those who love music and theater, adults and children alike!
The kids and cast have worked very hard since last September to bring you this spectacular show featuring bits and pieces of songs and dialog from four popular broadway shows. These include The Sound of Music, Newsies, Into the Woods and Legally Blonde.
The show is funny and full of energy and music!
Advance tickets are on sale now. Adults are $20 at the door and $16 in advance. Student tickets are $15 at the door and $12 pre-show. You can order in advance by visiting SSPA's ticket page.
The brilliant spectacle is the work of many people: parents, kids and volunteers.
Janet Lazarus, who teaches drama in the elementary school also is a drama instructor at the Redfield Proscenium at the University of Nevada (UNR) at the Church of Fine Arts building, where the show will be held.
Lazarus also has a background from New York's Broadway scene to Los Angeles' Hollywood scene. She brings her much appreciated expertise to the show and works hard to include kids to give them an outlet for their stage talent.
