Broadway barks and meows in fine tune along with Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore on the Great White Way this Saturday, July 13 at the fifteenth annual Broadway Barks.
In celebration of the fifteenth anniversary meet with Bernadette Peters for a special signing event.
Arrive early to meet Bernadette Peters and "Eloise" famous illustrator and author Hilary Knight who designed of this year’s poster and Playbill cover. They will be in the famed Shubert Alley on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. to sign special edition Broadway Barks posters and calendars. All proceeds from the signings benefits Broadway Barks.
Broadway Barks festivities continue after signing beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13.
Share in the fun attending “a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies” in the heart of the Broadway Theater District. Broadway Barks opens with a performance from the "Jersey Boys".
The wonderful event is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and sponsored by the ASPCA® and with additional sponsorship by the New York Times. Broadway Bark's mission is to "help hundreds of New York City’s shelter animals find permanent homes by informing New Yorkers about the plight of the thousands of homeless dogs and cats in the metropolitan area".
Joining hosts Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore is a cast of stars coming out in support of this wonderful cause.
Celebrity presentations of pets from citywide animal shelters will take place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. See the Broadway "debut of many adoptable animals presented by many stars from this season’s 'hottest' shows".
