Broadway Across America announces 2013-2014 Houston season (Video)

Broadway Across America announced its Houston lineup for the 2013-2014 season on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in an email to subscribers and other supporters. Coming to the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston's Theater District, this outstanding season features five shows and one extra special performance.

The season will open September 3, 2013 with the nationally-acclaimed Tony Award-winning musical from the creators of South Park, The Book of Mormon. Follow Kevin and Arnold as they go on their mission trip to Uganda and learn what it is to be a Mormon. Following is Peter and the Star Catcher, a Tony-nominated show based on the story of Peter Pan, playing in October 2013. The November 2013 show is Chicago: The Musical, an ever-popular cabaret-style evening of tunes. 2014 opens with Ghost: The Musical, based off of the movie of the same name, in February, and March brings the season special add-on show of American Idiot, a jukebox musical based off of the music of the rock band Green Day. The award-winning War Horse finishes up the season in May, bringing stunning puppetry which won a special Tony award.
