"Broadchurch" is nearing the end of its first season, and on Wednesday, Sept. 4, BBC America released a preview from next week's episode 6 as the mystery continues and the town must recover from another loss.
Episode 5 ended with Hardy (David Tennant) and Ellie (Olivia Colman) standing over Jack's (David Bradley) body on the beach. In this next "Broadchurch" episode, the town of Broadchurch comes together to mourn, and in doing so, a new suspect in Danny's (Oskar McNamara) murder comes to light. But is this the right person or just someone else hiding something that isn't related to Danny? Meanwhile, Beth (Jodie Whittaker) and Mark (Andrew Buchan) turn to Paul (Arthur Darvill), but can he help the move on? Beth has been confiding in Paul. He was the first one she told she was pregnant and then spoke to him in the last episode about Mark's reaction to the news.
However, as the episode 6 promo to the left teases, Paul needs to answer some questions for the police, namely concerning the fact that he doesn't have an alibi for the night Danny was killed. "What possible reason could you dream up for me to murder an 11-year-old boy?" He asks Hardy. Meanwhile, Karen (Vicky McClure) isn't going to be getting any love from the town any time soon and Susan's (Pauline Quirke) secret looks to be the next to come out as everyone in the town is a suspect. Plus, Tom (Adam Wilson) reveals that he and Danny weren't really such good friends.
"Broadchurch" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on BBC America. What do you think of the episode 6 promo? Who do you think killed Danny?
