Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack speaks out for first time since her death (photos). Brittany Murphy died Sunday morning, and for the first time Simon Monjack, her grieving husband spoke about his devastation, and insisted that world was destroyed.
Simon Monjack confirmed that his mother-in-law Sharon found Brittany "unresponsive" in the bathroom after becoming concerned about how long she was in the bathroom. "Sharon went into the bathroom because she had been in there a long time. Her mom screamed for me and I ran. Then called 911."
Monjack said that she was run down after a really busy year in which she completed a couple of movies. "She had laryngitis. She had been tired at the end of the year. She had made a couple (of) movies."
Monack said, "My world was destroyed yesterday. I loved what Ashton wrote on Twitter. It was comforting to me. I couldn't have said it better."
Ashton Kutcher wrote on his twitter page Sunday, "2day (sic) the world lost a little piece of sunshine. See you on the other side kid."
