Rest in Peace Brittany Murphy

TMZ reports Brittany Murphy's funeral will be held today, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills. The Christmas Eve ceremony will be heavily guarded by a security team, just to make sure no one crashes the funeral. It was not disclosed how many security officers will be on duty.

Murphy's body was delivered to the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, where it awaits burial. The funeral is listed as strictly private.

"The working plan is to have a small private family service in the next few days and then a larger memorial service for a larger group early in the new year," a reputable source told People.

Brittany Murphy was 32 years old when she died Sunday, December 20th at her home. Her mother found her in the bathroom after Murphy had collapsed on the floor. A call was made to 911, but the paramedics were unable to revive her. Cause of death at the time was reported to be a cardiac arrest. An autopsy was performed, however, sources say the L.A. County Coroner will wait for the toxicology report, as well as the histopathology (study of her organs and tissues) and neuropathology (study of her brain). The results will not be available for six to eight weeks.
