Brittany Murphy left estate to mother, Sharon Murphy; Simon Monjack may not be in will. Brittany Murphy completed her will before she met and married husband, Simon Monjack, TMZ reported Friday. There is a possibility that the will was amended, but so far no changes have been found.
Monjack said that Brittany had just been treated for laryngitis a few days before her death, but it didn’t seem that serious. He also said that she had been exhausted after a grueling film schedule.
Murphy had been complaining of shortness of breath and severe abdominal pain for seven to 10 days before she died, the NY Daily News reported.
Murphy died Sunday morning after collapsing in her bathroom. Murphy went into cardiac arrest, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead at the scene at 10:04 am Sunday. The autopsy was completed Monday, but the cause of death will not be released until the toxicology reports come back which will take 4-6 week.
