Famed actress Brittany Murphy has passed away, shockingly and very unexpectedly at the young age of 32, reportedly from cardiac arrest. A rep for Murphy issued a statement: "In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy."
RadarOnline reports that an official investigation into Murphy's passing has been launched by the LAPD. The media outlet reports: "As of 1:15 pm PST detectives from the Hollywood division of LAPD were at the house in the Hollywood Hills where Murphy collapsed Sunday morning." An autopsy will be conducted soon, according to RadarOnline.
As was reported earlier today, many celebrities that knew Murphy personally, such as former co-star Ashton Kutcher have expressed their grief via Twitter.
Ashton Kutcher: "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon. … see you on the other side kid."
Russell Simmons: "I met brittany murphy before her star rose its tough to find peace in fame. I wish her peace and happiness in her next lifetime."
Alyssa Milano: "Brittney Murphy and I did a USO Tour together in 2003. ♥ She was a sweet soul, with a lot of talent and heart."
Kim Kardashian: "I am in shock that Britney Murphy has died! Clueless is my all time favorite movie. My prayers go out to her family & husband."

RadarOnline reported that Murphy was transported to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and "paramedics say Murphy was pronounced dead on arrival."
Murphy was married and it is being reported that her husband, Simon Monjack, "called 911 from the couple’s home at 8:00am Sunday saying his wife was sick."

she was an amazinq actress & she worked her way up to be the women that she was . No one will ever forget her name and her outstanding work . My prayers go out to her and her family . she maybe done but hold on to her memories and she`ll be here forever .
