Spears released a hand-written letter to her fans on Friday. She thanked fans for their support and wrote about her upcoming album "Britney Jean." Here is an excerpt from the letter about her "most personal record":
I have been through a lot in the past few years and it has really inspired me to dig deeper and write songs that I think everyone can relate to. Working with people like Sia, William Orbit, and of course Will.i.am has been an amazing experience. They have listened to all of my ideas and helped me bring them to life. There are a lot of really fun, upbeat dance songs, but it was important to me that I show my strength, and my attitude, and my vulnerability. Of course, I also have some surprises for you guys ;)
With the special letter to fans also came the "Britney Jean" album cover. A very stripped and bare Spears is shown on the album art with the words "Britney Jean" written in neon lights. Since she says the album is so personal and sincere, the title is inside of heart.
Spears also revealed that her next single "Perfume" will be available on November 5. She co-wrote the ballad with singer-songwriter Sia and has cited it as her favorite on the album.
"Britney Jean" also includes the aggressive EDM track "Work B**ch" and "Alien," a song Spears worked on with Madonna "Ray of Light" producer William Orbit. Her eight studio album will be released on December 3.
