Although the lyrics to her "Ooh La La" song say "You don't have to look like a movie star," Britney Spears wants to look better than the typical movie star before her Las Vegas show opens. She's boosting her workouts and tightening up her diet to achieve that goal, according to Enstars.
With the guidance of her celebrity personal trainer Tony Martinez, Britney is heading to the gym three times each week to focus "on high-intensity intervals, along with cardio at least three times a week that includes sprints, jumping rope, basketball drills and boxing."
The key to success, according to Tony: Mix it up. "Changing her workouts each time is the key to her success." But diet counts too.
"Smart nutrition is half the battle. I try to help her understand portion size and help her choose healthy options," he added.
The other half of the battle: "Work out smarter, not longer," Tony says. "When we first met, she wanted to run on the treadmill for two hours. But I've shown her ways to sculpt her body that take less than 20 minutes. Now she's loving these quick workouts."
Britney doesn't fool around. She's on time and "ready to work" as soon as she and Tony get to the gym.
"She is sassy and very competitive. She'll be like, 'Is this all you got?'" he laughs. "She is a great athlete and makes working out look easy. She wants to be in the best shape possible, and she is very happy with her body right now."
Tony also has trained Pink and Janet Jackson. His motto: "Work out smarter and get better results from training less."
And he also motivates his clients by showing his pride, as in his recent Twitter feed: "So proud of my girl @britneyspears!"
