Rumors are swirling that Simon Cowell is second-guessing his decision to bring Britney Spears on as an X Factor judge. After Britney walked off the X Factor set several times since the show's second season has started filming, Simon Cowell has had it.

Britney Spears has quit “X Factor” and will not be returning as a judge in the upcoming third season, according to “TMZ.”

Spears has bailed after just one season. It’s being reported that the pop star quit amid reports that Simon Cowell was about to fire her for being “boring.” And nobody wants that on their resume.

But the 31-year-old singer says she’s walking away in order to focus on her music. "Britney loves Simon, she likes Demi Lovato but her thing is music," a source said.

Spears is currently working on her 8th album. Last month her collaborator, hip hop songwriter Elijah Blake, shared with That Grape Juice that the pop star’s new album will be different, "I think her fans will be surprised by it. I would say it's definitely the 'unexpected' Britney in so many ways."

TMZ is reportedly that after Spears finishes the album, she’s thinking about touring again.
