Britney Spears will not be returning for a second season of ‘X Factor,’ she has quit the show. According to TMZ, a good source has informed them that Spears says she loves the show but would prefer to focus on her music. She is currently in the studio working on her 8th album, getting help from Will.i.am and the producer Hit-Boy. Spears tell sources she loves Simon, likes Demi Lavato, but her real love is music and she would prefer to get her focus back on her real love. After completing her album she’s currently working on, Spears is planning to go on tour again.
MTV News sources reported, Spears realized she wouldn’t be asked to return for another season due to failing to boost the Simon Cowell’s ‘X Factor’ ratings, the singer has quit. Many of us and I’m sure Spears as well, had been hearing the rumors about the singer possibly being fired from the show so did Spears figure she’d beat Cowell to the punch and quit? For quite some time, Spears had been getting lots of criticism for her lack of facial expressions and words when judging; often simply telling the ‘X Factor’ contestant their performance was “amazing.”
Apparently, Spears has decided to walk away from the $15 million dollar contract for being a judge on ‘X Factor’ and has simply decided to go back to her love of music. ‘X Factor’ can’t seem to stop the rotating panel of judges after Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were fired after the first season; L.A. Reid, recently decided to walk away after the second season, and now Britney Spears has joined the rotation panel of judges on ‘X Factor’ after quitting.
