Britney Spears is planning to move to Las Vegas. According to TMZ on Jan. 13, Spears is closing in on locking up an "enormously lucrative" deal with a member of the Caesar group to start her own "Celine Dion-type show."
This is just one news bit in a huge week for the singer. Spears already announced she was not returning to "X Factor" next season and then announced her split from Jason Trawick. This pretty much opens the way for Spears to move to Las Vegas to start this new career endeavor.
Spears said when she quit "X Factor" that she planned on working on a brand new album. This could also give her a huge draw for people to come to Vegas to see her new show, where she might be performing the new tracks she plans to record. This could also help Spears, already an extremely wealthy woman, grow even more powerful in the music world.
The deal should dwarf even Celine Dion's $100 million a year deal, and TMZ refers to the financial deal as "astronomical."
According to Britney Spears, the deal is "a go" and all that is left is working out the stipulations of the contract. It remains up in the air about whether Spears will just perform in her shows or also be contractually obligated to make random special appearances for the hotel as well.
