The tragedy of the nightclub in Brazil has Hollywood’s attention. The unfortunate accident has killed over 200 people as a nightclub started on fire early Sunday morning when a spark on stage ignited the ceiling while hundreds of people were inside. Unable to leave as doors were barricaded, people were trapped inside. Hollywood has reached out to fans in Brazil sharing the heartache of the tragedy. On Monday Britney Spears addressed the situation and shared condolences with the community.
“So sad to hear about the fire in Brazil... my heart is with you Santa Maria. Sending lots of love & prayers. #PrayForSantaMaria,” tweeted Britney Spears from her official Twitter account on Monday. The star definitely gave an important message to a grieving community.
While the fire in Santa Maria is still under investigation, so far witnesses have described chaos in the moments after the fire. Blocked by security at several doors and locked at other doors, the nightclub goers were trapped inside until people realized a fire had started. Some accounts suggest there were over a thousand people in the building at the time of the fire.
