Thursday, news that Britney Spears will quit “The X Factor” was released when TMZ reported that a source said she plans to focus on her music now instead of appearing as a judge on the popular singing show. Spears appeared for only one season on the show and reportedly made a $15 million paycheck from it. Spears’ is currently working on her eighth album and she plans to go on tour again, according to TMZ.
Two weeks ago, reports were flying that Britney Spears was being fired from “The X Factor” after Simon Cowell, a producer and judge on “The X Factor” said he didn’t feel that she earned that $15 million paycheck.
Britney Spears has had her crazy days, and appears to be over that and trying to grow-up a little over the last year. Us Weekly reported that Cowell said wanted “crazy Britney, but he got boring Britney."
Spears fans have continued to follow her, even while she has attempted to clean up her act and stop drinking. But her critics say that she is too tame on “The X Factor” and it doesn’t help when she repeatedly murmurs the word "Amazing" in response to her opinion of singers on the show.
Currently, the only judges who have been confirmed for the next season of “The X Factor” are Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato. L.A. Reid has already announced that he will not be back next fall.
