The Detroit Celebrity Examiner reported Feb. 23 that Britney Spears doesn't sing on her own album, but Star magazine reports on Feb. 23 that Spears may not even know she’s been duped. In the March 4 issue that was released on Feb. 23 there was talk about Myah Marie being the actual singer because she “can sound just like her.” However, Spears may not know a thing about it.
Britney has admitted in the past that she had lip synced and anyone that has been a fan since the early days would know that she’s known for lip syncing. Her management team is telling Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas that she “doesn't sing live during her concerts.” While it may not be that big of a deal, finding out that it might not be your own voice on your own album could be. While this news will make die hard Britney fans angry, sources state that Spears may not even know whose voice is on the album. Its possible Britney really is the victim here.
Choreography and singing don’t go hand in hand. Those who dance often lip sync. Fans know and they are accepting. Lindsay Lohan, Ashlee Simpson, 50 Cent, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, and Beyonce have all been known to lip sync. According to Ke$aha, stars shouldn’t be ashamed, but they should let the audience know what portion of the concert is a mime and which parts are live.”
Murray Langston, father to Myah Marie, told sources that “Maybe she [Britney] just comes in, lays down the track and leaves.” With all the drama in Brit’s life; information like this could be detrimental to her career.
